I used this CD and workbook in a summer writing camp for children ages3-7, and it was awesome! The music was fun, interactive and informative, and the children asked to listen to it again and again. They picked up on the chorus quite easily so they could sing along. “Get ready to Write” was a good length to play so that the class could organize their materials and be prepared to start writing without the teacher lecturing them about what they needed to do. I also really liked the section on adjectives and adding description to their writing. The children really got a mental picture of how to communicate their thoughts to others. Lastly, the short plays were awesome. It was a fun way to keep the kids active, promote self confidence and public speaking, share an important message about the writing lesson, and have lots of fun. I would highly recommend this book!

This book is filled with 30 wonderful lessons. It is easy to read and follow. If you don’t have a writing program or you need to supplement your program this book will help!
